You probably have heard of Flickr. It is a photo sharing site.
You may ask "What does Flickr have to do with selling?" Well, if you sell products, its a great way to show the world what you sell.
To get started on Flickr, you need to sign up for an account. Once you have done that you can upload photos by choosing the "Upload Photos & Video" on the home page or by selecting the same feature under the "You" menu.
Once you select this, you will be asked to select a photo and then, as can be seen in the diagram below, select the "Upload Photos and Videos" button. Very Important: Make sure you make your photo visible to the public if you want it to be seen by anyone. If not, then it may not get seen by the audience you want to see your photo.
You will then have to put a title on the photo, a description of the item and tags that describe the item in the photo.
Make sure that you think about what you want to add here. This is what will put eyeballs on your photo. Make sure the tags describe the item accurately so that it is searchable. The last thing to make sure you do accurately is to put a description in. Short and to the point is best, but also make sure that you add how someone can reach you. For example you could put a description in that would read "This is XYZ's new Widget that helps companies reduce their costs associated with whatever by 25%. You can find out more at http ://www.xyzcompany.com or by calling us at (555) 555-5555." You can even add a hyperlink to your website or the specific page on your website that promotes the product in the picture.
One last thing, you can go back and see how many people have actually looked at your picture as there is a counter on each picture that lists the views.
